AN ANTHOLOGY OF TEN YEARS OF SGT PEPPER CELEBRITY MEMORIAL TRIBUTES

CHRIS BARKER

This December, artist Chris Barker unveils the tenth and final instalment of his acclaimed annual Sgt. Pepper–style Celebrity Montage series.

These remarkable works — a contemporary reimagining of The Beatles’ iconic Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover — honour the celebrated figures we have lost over the past decade from the worlds of music, film, television, and sport.

Over the years, Barker’s montages have paid heartfelt tribute to legends such as David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, Prince, Tina Turner, Dame Maggie Smith, and Muhammad Ali.

To mark this milestone, Barker will publish a beautifully produced commemorative book, present a special London exhibition, and auction an exclusive collection of limited-edition prints.

For the first time, artist Chris Barker will offer a series of one-of-a-kind, large-format framed prints from his acclaimed Sgt. Pepper series for auction. These are the only prints of their kind in existence, each a unique collector’s piece personally signed by the artist.

The final auction will take place on 16 December at the Museum of Comedy, London, with advance online bidding available from 6 December. Collectors and admirers alike will also be able to follow the auction live online as it unfolds on the night.
